Our 66-year tradition of service began in 1937. Originally located near the intersection of Locust Drive and Route 27 in Damascus, we moved to Woodfield Road, near the new Damascus United Methodist Church.

By 1957 our business had grown to include hardwood floors, vinyl flooring and plastic wall tiles. To accommodate the growth we built and opened the store at 26218 Ridge Road, where we would stay for the next four decades.

Further growth brought about the addition of a second store in Frederick. Over the next 15 years, the Frederick store added ceramic tile, Formica countertops, and some carpet to its product line, before being sold in the mid 1970s.

In 1977, a local businessman purchased King Floor Service from the original owner. Carpet and vinyl tile were popular products, and we acquired a large number of samples for our showroom. We removed countertops and ceramic and plastic wall tile (which had become out of fashion!) from our product line.

In the 1990s the economy boomed, and home sales reached unprecedented heights. We continued to grow, serving the rapidly expanding market. Under new ownership in 1996, we began to outgrow the location we'd occupied for the past 42 years.

At the end of 1999, we moved to a new location at 26140 Ridge Road. We've doubled our showroom space, expanded our hours and added to our staff to continue serving your needs in the new century.

New products and services, new locations and faces...but the most important part of our history is the one that's always been with us: our 66-year dedication to serving our loyal customers. We look forward to serving you!
